Brody preaches on Tuesday night of Snowbird’s SWO12 summer camp regarding our response to Christ’s authority from Col. 1:15-20. The supremacy and preeminence of Christ over all gives us assurance of His sufficiency and authority in each of our lives.

Brody preaches during a Spring retreat from Zechariah on the righteousness of a believer.
I was riding down Main Street here in my little town of Andrews the other day. I had the kids sitting in the back of the teeny van and was feeling pretty Clark Griswold-ish, when we drove past Party Time. Now, if you don’t know about Party Time, then you have probably never been through Andrews. It is like Cold Stone, Little Caesars, and Blockbuster had a baby, then gave him steroids. It is THE destination for ice cream, pizza and movies in Andrews. But really it is all about the ice cream. I have four words for you… Extreme Moose Tracks Avalanche, baby. Oops, I think that was five words.
So as we drove by I yelled out “Who wants to go to Party Time?!”
In unison, my three kids yelled “ME!”
Duh. Did I really need to ask that question? I already knew the answer. But I just wanted to enjoy sharing the moment with them. I love to hear their hearts ‘desires. Is that not why we pray? I mean, God really already knows what we are going to ask, even before we ask. Jesus said so. But it is more about pouring out our hearts to our father. It is about intimacy. He already knows, but he wants to HEAR from you.
Go ahead. Talk to God. He wants to hear what he already knows. He loves us!
A lot of you followed us on Twitter while we were on our recent trip to India. We really appreciate the prayer support. Little and I got to take Kilby over there and we met some amazing people who are living out the Gospel to hopeless people in the slums of India. We were awakened each morning by the citywide Muslim call to prayer, which was followed by the ringing of bells on the Hindu temples. They do this in order to wake the Hindu gods. Hmm. Demons sleep.
It was a constant reminder of the reality that there is still much work to do. There are more than 23 million people in the city of Mumbai, and more than 99 percent of them don’t know Jesus. They need to. They have to. We can’t afford to not get it to them. Our lives will be short, so let’s not waste time.
I left India blown away that our God, Jesus, never sleeps. He is the God of Mumbai and every other nation in the world. Many of them just don’t know it. We need to tell them.
Brody speaks on idolatry at a SWO winter retreat from Exodus 32. The people of Israel began to worship the gifts that God gave them instead of the Creator and Giver of those gifts. God is jealous for our love and worship, and He will not share His glory with another.
Brody speaks from Exodus 3 about Moses and the burning bush. Sinful man cannot approach a holy God apart from the righteousness of Christ. It is only on Hs terms that we can approach God and not be consumed by His holy wrath. He is holy, and He makes us holy by the blood of Christ in order that we would be in right relationship with God.
Christ commands and enables us to live a life of victory over sin and temptation. Brody preaches from Romans 8, and reveals the power of the Gospel to offensively make war on sin.
