A couple weeks ago, my assistant, Caroline Smith, came by and took some pictures of me and my family.  If you know anything about our life here, you know how hard it can be to nail all of us down at one time.  It’s even harder trying to get us to all look at the camera at the same time.  That’s why we love that Caroline was able to just come over to our home and take photos of us while we were hanging out.  It feels more real for our family that way.  If you’re interested in using her as a designer or photographer, you can check out her work here.

I talked with you briefly at the Women’s Retreat about my son Noah Schrum who will be attending camp this week at Snowbird. I shared with you that my son was “adopted at birth” and we had pick this year to talk to him about his birth. (Easter Week) Noah’s Dad and I are divorced and Noah shares his time between TWO homes. His Dad and I are structured very different. His Dad’s sister and I took Noah to lunch (with his Dad’s blessing) and talked to him about his birth because his Dad did not want the job. Noah has not ask many questions, so I feel he is still processing. He may open up to someone he trust while he is there? Most people think he is our natural son because all the legal was taken care of before he was born. I was the liamaze coach and cut the life cord when he was born, so he was in my arms from minute one…….
I want Noah to excel and try new things. The money to send him to Snowbird did not come easy for me to provide for him, being a single mother, but he needs to “find himself”. His Dad told him before he left, NOT to do zip-line, paint ball, and many other activities because he might get hurt……I am telling him to experience it ALL. Noah’s Dad, Mike is 22 years retired military & very controlling. I have taken a backseat over the years to help things to remain peaceful for Noah. I love my son with all my heart and know he is God’s Gift, that blessed ME to be his Mom. I could not find your personal email to send this, so if you get this please respond.

    Thank you for your time,
    Marie Schrum

  2. […] Every fall, we try to do a Holloway Nation photo shoot.  It is a lot fun, and also a great way to watch these guys grow from year to year.  Thought we’d share a few of these pics with you.  Little and I are so blessed to be in our twenty-second year of marriage together.  It has been an amazing journey and I am so grateful to The Lord for the family he has blessed us with.  I love these guys like crazy. Plus see how much they’ve grown from last year. […]
